What a timely, wonderful children's book written by inspirational author, V.A. Trafton. This book harnesses a lot of important lessons -- follow your heart, never give up on your dreams, help others, and work hard.
This story follows a little girl through her experience of running for class president, which was inspired by a lack of supplies in her school. She raises money in various ways... some successful, others not, but no matter what, she doesn't give up. I love that all of the methods she used to fundraise involved helping others in her community whether it was mowing lawns, walking dogs, or babysitting.
This book is a great reminder of what a good leader should do... help others, create positive change, bring people together, and inspire greatness.
What a wonderful book!
